Enterprise Architect – Insurance Domain

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and certified Enterprise Architect with deep domain expertise in General Insurance and Motor Insurance . The ideal candidate has a strong background in legacy transformation, cloud-native architecture, API-led modernization, and multi-team and phase delivery governance – with the ability to connect business vision to architecture roadmaps and ensure consistent implementation across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Define and govern modernization roadmap for transforming legacy platforms into modular, service-oriented, cloud-ready architectures.

Provide architecture direction across multiple delivery squads during modernization.

Ensure cross-squad and cross-phase alignment through consistent API, data, cloud, security and integration standards.

Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and development teams to ensure solutions meet enterprise architecture guidelines.

Provide architecture oversight and governance across the delivery lifecycle, ensuring compliance with business and technical standards.

Lead architecture assessments, capability modeling, and gap analysis within the General and Motor Insurance domains .

Lead business capability mapping and value-stream alignment to ensure the modernization roadmap reflects real business priorities.

Design future-state architectures that support core insurance processes such as policy administration, claims management, underwriting, and customer engagement.

Evaluate modernization-enabling technologies (modern integration patterns, domain-driven approaches, modularization).

Define modernization sequencing, transition states, and coexistence architecture.

Establish and run architecture governance forums (ARB, ADA) to ensure compliance across multiple streams.

Produce architecture decisions, reference models, and modernization guidelines consumable by delivery squads.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Hands-on experience as an Enterprise Architect with direct involvement in General Insurance and Motor Insurance projects.

Strong understanding of insurance core systems, digital channels, and industry regulations.

Experience with architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Sparx EA).

Certified Enterprise Architect (e.g., TOGAF Certified or equivalent).

Certified in AWS: Solution Architect (or equivalent).

Proven ability to design and implement enterprise-grade solutions in complex environments.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of insurance standards (e.g., BNM, ISM).

Experience with coexistence architecture or multi-phase modernization involving both legacy and modern platforms.

Familiarity with modern architecture paradigms (e.g., microservices, API-led integration, cloud-native design).

Experience with legacy system modernization in the insurance sector.
